Styrofoam Insulation Inside and Out with DuPont
We will use Styrofoam insulation and GreatStuff to insulate wall cavities before the shower unit is installed. We will also demonstrate how to install continuous insulation (CI) on the outside of a wall. We will buck out a door opening and flash it using Dupont flashing tapes, and finally, we will install RainVent Battens rainscreen over the styrofoam. Products used: Dupont Styrofoam, GreatStuff, Flex Wrap, Straight Flash, and RainVent Battens.

Learn how to bend custom roof and wall flashings on a Tapco Brake: Drip edge, rake metal, kickout, dormer flashing, head flashing, z-flashing, and more. Aron Jones will also tie in a soffit to siding, and if you ask nicely, he will show you how to bend standing seam metal roofing panels.

Carve out a little time at IBS for some fun and demonstrate job site skill dominance to your peers! Compete in a handful of standard skills tests including:
-Kickout Showdown: Bend a kickout flashing on a Tapco brake
-Jobsite Cornhole: Toss a tape measure through a hole (three tries)
-It’s not how wide you spray; it’s how you spray WIDE: Great Stuff Wide “obstacle” course
-Shower of Power: Use an impact driver to install a Sterling shower module
-Heavyweight Trim Test: Install Everlast exterior door casing
–Swap a light fixture with nothing but your bare hands
-Jobsite Fashion Show: Demonstrate your best catwalk wearing your favorite workwear (kilts included!). Channel your favorite alter-ego and strut your stuff!
Runs from 4-5PM.
